DESCRIPTION
In cooperation with the leading glass manufacturer O-I a spirits bottle on the subjects of “premium” and ”craft” was designed. A flavour map created by whisky experts and the perception of the material of glass established the basis for my form finding process. Under the slogan “the liquid makes the craft” the resulting design draws the attention to the liquid inside. This is achieved by conscious irregularities of the inner contour, material thickness and asymmetry contrasting the simple and straight outer shape. Additionally, the curve of the side view on the bottle gives a hint at the key flavour of the whisk(e)y (smoky, delicate, light and rich). The design and concept was awarded by O-I (view press article here).
